Batik uses the technique of wax-resist dyeing creating unique patterns due to the way the wax blends “crackle” during handling. This method dates back to ancient Egypt but was perfected by the artisans of Java. The variability ensures no two garments will be identical, which makes them all the more likely to be your new favorite shirt!
This fabric is hand-dipped in indigo and block printed using the batik method in India.
