We are often asked how the idea came about - An accessories shop for men...it's not that common?  Simply put it comes from our excitement of finding those extra touches that make a look your own. Be it a bow tie, pocket square or your choice of an everyday carry bag, it all makes a difference.  Let us help equip you with the best.

Erin is the founder, curator and day-to-day shopkeep of Hammer + Awl.  Exiting a seventeen year career in interior design to follow her dream of owning a neighborhood boutique, Erin hand selects each and every piece that hits the shop. Chances are if you have stopped by or contacted the shop, she is the one there at the ready to help answer questions, find just the right piece for yourself, or that gift for the hard to please person on your list.  She also manages the online shop, including graphics and photography. Whew!  Whether at the front and behind the scenes, Erin is your go-to-gal for all facets of Hammer + Awl.

Anthony is the official “test pilot” of all things Hammer + Awl.  From bow ties to bags, socks to shirts, he is constantly giving each item his seal of approval before it hits the shop floor.  He is also the builder behind the shop, model in many of our pics, delivery boy, occasional janitor and all around handy man. More or less,  the best sidekick anyone can ever have in an adventure like this.  Aside from his shop duties and regular 8-5 job, Anthony created and runs the Hammer + Awl cycling team.  You can find him and his teammates at Fondos, Cyclocross and Mountain Bike races round the PNW.
