Named after their co-founder’s grandfather, Thomas Kazuyuki Yanagihara, Kiriko's Kazuyuki line is a collection of classic ties, bow ties and pocket squares, made using traditional Japanese fabrics.
Fukuoka 福岡県 is famous for its woven kasuri 絣 fabrics. Many craftsmen in the city have used the same wooden looms and weaving techniques for generations. This produces a unique patterning and texture that differs on each side of the fabric.
Kasuri, a traditional Japanese fabric, derived from the word “kasureru” meaning “blurred” is created using individually dyed threads that are skillfully woven into the patterns you see here.
