Your new wardrobe essential from Kiriko. Their Kase-Zome Natural Stripe Scarf uses hand-dyed fabric from Japan using all natural dyes. A pattern of broken brown and blue striping on a muted brown background creates the perfect wash of color to add to your daily style.
Kase-zome uses a dyeing technique where the threads are dyed before the fabric is woven. In order to achieve the desirable color in the thread, craftsman submerge the threads in dye tanks by hand. Then remove the threads and naturally dye them in the sun. The process is repeated multiple times until the color is just right.
Each scarf is sewn, pressed and packaged by hand in Portland, Oregon.
